AMT II Corp. Business Associate Brig. Gen. John Douglass (ret.) Announces his Candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives

Northern Virginia, June 21, 2011.  Gen. Douglass declared, “Our country is under tremendous stress.  But too many in Washington are playing political games instead of facing up to the challenges of jobs, energy, transportation, education, health care, national security, and more.

I've served this nation for over three decades. I've served presidents of both parties.  I rose to the rank of General because I have a proven record of standing up, taking on the tough fights, and winning them.

That's why I've decided to run for Congress.   This won't be easy.  My opponent has been in Congress for decades, getting a free pass for too long.  As I've talked with my neighbors throughout Virginia's 10th district, I've heard them loud and clear: It's time for an independent voice and a focus on practical solutions to our nation's challenges.

Carbon Fiber:

Today’s chemical industry largely produces industrial chemicals from converted raw materials such as: oil, natural gas, air, water, metals, and minerals. Polymers, plastics and exciting new materials such as, carbon fiber (graphite) are replacing older materials such as metals in areas including transportation, aerospace, medical prosthetics, infrastructure, and sporting goods, to name just a few. Carbon fiber has superior strength, lighter weight, a low coefficient of thermal expansion, and does not corrode. It is becoming the preferred structural and reinforcement material for many industries in the 21st century (Wikipedia, 2008 and The Aerospace Industries Association).
